Comment by Tanya Porter on May 6, 2008 at 5:23pm: Ok, so it wasn't Mission Bay, but it WAS sweet! I especially loved the skydiving!!! Winds were strong on Sunday and the swoopers did a great job landing onto such a small, congested patch of grass between the jetties. How 'bout that boat landing?! The airshow w/ the helicopters, jets and water rescue was impressive! This was my first time at the races and I was blown away. Very exciting. Next year we'll have to get there a lot earlier to secure a "standing" spot closer to the water's edge. Cool!
